The first High School Honors Banquet was held as a Scholarship Breakfast in May, 1962, has been held every year since, and has become a Prescott tradition.
Over 130 students, their parents and Sunrise Lions gathered to honor thirty seven high school students who had achieved a 4.0 grade point average (or higher) through their Junior or Senior years.
